[Bug 612875] [NEW] -virtual kernel in EC2 only boots from pv-grub

Public bug reported:

The -virtual kernel replaced the -EC2 kernel in Maverick EC2 images.
However the -virtual kernel must be booted from pv-grub, it currently is
failing to boot when registered as an aki, and set as an images boot
kernel.
