Public bug reported:
When I run the official Lucid Kernel, my MacBook Pro 2,2 randomly
reboots. The laptop freeze for 1 or 2 seconds (numlock does not respond)
and it reboots. This occurs from 1 to 10 times a day. I does not seems
to be related to temperature as I ran 2 cpuburns during 1h30 without
problems (CPU cores temp @89C while normal temp is @52C).
At first I taught it was related to heat and I manually forced all the
fans at maximum speed with no improvement. I did the EFI firmware
upgrade using Mac OSX 10.6 but that didn't help.
I then tried to install applesmc update from mactel-support PPA but it
didn't improved anything. I also tried to not load the wifi module
(ath9k) but that didn't help either.
The only thing that worked was to use the kernel 2.6.35-12 from Ubuntu
Kernel PPA.
