After installing linux-
image-2.6.34-999-generic_2.6.34-999.201004281008_i386 I no longer get
the "acer-wmi: Unable to detect available WMID devices" warning on boot,
but I also no longer get any Plymouth splash screens either.
After grub, I just get a black screen that flickers the back-light a
couple of times straight into the log-in screen.
Let me know if you need any more information.
