Subject: [Bug 566609] Re: Blackberry reboots when I connect to computer with
	Lucid Beta2

Hi Peter,

Please be sure to confirm this issue exists with the latest development release of Ubuntu. ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ . If the issue remains, please run the following command from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report.

apport-collect -p linux 566609

Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results.

Thanks in advance.

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete

Bug description:
I am running Lucid 2nd Beta on both my Toshiba laptop (L20E with Centrino 1.73 Ghz processor, 1.5 GB RAM) and Dell desktop computer.

Both were behaving fine charging and connecting my blackberry as USB
mass storage device.

Since I upgraded to Lucid, when I plug the blackberry (8110) in first,
it resets. I did not have this problem at all in Jaunty. In Karmic when
the laptop would go to sleep, hibernate, or wake up, it would trigger
this but otherwise it was fine and then it was handled on one of the
recent updates.

Also Lucid does not seem to see the memory card even though USB Mass
storage is enabled on the blackberry the same way as it used to be and I
can connect it to Windows or a computer running Karmic with no problem.

Thank you.
