[Bug 570623] [NEW] X.org fails to start with new kernel

With Dell Latitude D505 running Lucid, the system hangs completely when
X.org is supposed to start with 2.6.32-21-generic kernel. With
2.6.32-20-generic it starts up fine. Newer kernel works with recovery
console, but trying to start gdm there hangs the same way. When the
system has hung, it doesn't react to ctrl-alt-del or caps lock. Shortly
before hanging, a low resolution (VGA?) Ubuntu logo is displayed. Then
the logo blurs and the screen goes blank.
