hi Jeremy,

a fix was posted on ubuntu web site that seemed to fix the mic.

thanks for getting back to me. here was the fix.


fix:

  sudo apt-get install linux-backports-modules-alsa-karmic-generic

  sudo apt-get install gnome-alsamixer
