Unchanged behaviour in RC1:

ubuntu-10.04-rc-desktop-i386.iso 19-Apr-2010 13:29  694M  Desktop CD for
PC (Intel x86)

Booting with either "nouveau.modeset=0" or "nouveau.noaccel=1" succeeds,
otherwise the result is as first described.
