Hello everyone,

I've been working on this issue in bug 550625. Unfortunately, it seems
this new hardware requires a new protocol to work properly. Details are
in that bug, but unfortunately there's no great fix yet. We've reverted
the change that went into beta 2 that had a side effect of disabling the
scroll on touchpad edge. If the new protocol is found and merged
upstream in the linux kernel we would gladly pull it into Ubuntu, but
until then there probably won't be any great synaptics client
integration.
