You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Running lucid alpha3 with updates as live session from usb stick on
netbook Acer Aspire One L110.

An SD card present at boot or inserted later in either of the two SD
card slots is not shown neither on the desktop nor in nautilus. Calling
sudo fdisk -l does show the card, but does not show the partition on the
card (which is correctly shown when this machine is booted under
karmic). The internal hard disk (an 8GB SSD) is shown under nautilus,
and can be mounted by clicking on it.

With the SD card in the left slot of the netbook: (the slot which works
even when the card is inserted after boot)

sudo fdisk -l /dev/mmcblk0 #

Platte /dev/mmcblk0: 16.1 GByte, 16071000064 Byte
4 Köpfe, 16 Sektoren/Spur, 490448 Zylinder
Einheiten = Zylinder von 64 × 512 = 32768 Bytes
Sector size (logical / optimal IO): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x00000000

        Gerät boot. Anfang Ende Blöcke Id System
