to make it clear, for me as well the colors are OK on DVI. so this is
really the same problem that I have. but i can't use DVI because in DVI
display flickers like crazy (probably an unrelated bug). at least with
VGA+UMS the computer is usable.

with this bug, the computer is almost impossible to use normally. for
instance, on a selected menu item, the text is white and the background
is brownish, with this rendering problem, you see all white and you
can't see the text, even after correcting the gamma in the monitor or
using xgamma.
