@Chris Halse Rogers: After using the alternative i386 beta2 CD I was
able to get a working system again.

Your special nouveau kernel Chris Halse Rogers, was not working for me
and failed to boot with no options. I also tried nouveau.noaccel=1 which
failed too(second screenshot).
