[Bug 554695] Re: [ubuntu lucid] both suspend and hibernate fail on netbook

I used this mainline kernel:
uname -a:
Linux aa1 2.6.34-999-generic #201004051003 SMP Mon Apr 5 10:02:54 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux

and this defaultkernel:
Linux aa1 2.6.32-19-generic #28-Ubuntu SMP Wed Mar 31 17:46:20 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux

With some playing through various applications the mainline kernel seem
to behave identical to the default kernel, including the failure on
suspend hibernate.

The only difference to the initital description is that after hibernate
no screensaver came up, but the computer just froze. In both suspend and
hibernate only the big button helped to get out. networking was again
disabled and had to be enabled manually.

My Acer Aspire One A110 isn't exactly a rare breed of a netbook; I am
surprised there aren't more complaints. Lucid was a fresh install from
alpha (alpha2 I believe) erasing all previous content on the SSD
