Just wanted to mention that I seem to still have a similar problem. When
booting (X)Ubuntu 9.10 the search for my HDDs seems to timeout for a
minute or two. The dmesg.log shows a similar Emask DRDY though, even if
my Comp starts after the apparent timeout. I hope this issue can be
fixed before I will get new hardware... see the dmesg and lspci output
in the attachment for information on my machine.
