[Bug 556253] [NEW] [2.6.32-19 regression] Does not check lid status any more, blank screen

I run my laptop docked with an external DVI monitor. This configuration
has worked fine until 2.6.30-18, linux saw that the lid was closed,
disabled the internal 1280x800 LVDS, and ran the external DVI with the
full 1280x1024 resolution.

With the upgrade to 2.6.30-19, the external DVI now gets powered off
during boot, and X/gdm start into an 1280x800 framebuffer which is only
displayed on the internal LVDS (which is pretty pointless with the lid
being closed). I have to blindly type my password to get into my
session, and use xrandr to reenable the external DVI and disable LVDS.
