[Bug 555703] [NEW] network connection gone 10.04beta1

Running a Intel D510MO with beta1. After installing last saturday's
distribution update (update-manager -d) no network available. Going back
to the last official release (9.10) connection is again available. Doing
the distribution upgrade to 10.04 beta1 network again dissapeared. I
suspect something changed with the last kernel update.
