Hi, yes when I held down the power button for five seconds the system turns
off as usual, but then immediately turns back on by itself. Ubuntu all
starts fine and works fine until the next lockup.
I didn't see any warning at all like you mention. Mouse just starts to slow
for a second or two then stop and all screen activity stopps and I can't
switch to a text terminal either.
I since have noticed that it happens when there is a high disk usage and cpu
load at once.
using flock (firefox) with large images seemed to precipitate it most
reliably.
