[Bug 392039] Re: initramfs scripts hard-coded to load i915; blocks loading non-intel drm modules

The fglrx driver version included in current Karmic (8.660) works even
when i915 is loaded. This bug should no longer occur with current
Karmic. Note that the current Catalyst release (9.9 based on 8.65) is
still affected by this problem though.
