Public bug reported:
The loop device currently is compiled into the kernel. This limits the
options when using it. For example it's impossible to use partitions in
a disk image (by setting the max_part option) nor is it possible to
change the number of loop devices while the kernel is running.
** Affects: linux-meta (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
