I upgraded the affected box today and it seems similar to Jaunty. It
does boot without the rootdelay workaround that I had to use in
Intrepid, but is still very slow

[ 71.024009] ata4: SRST failed (errno=-16)
[ 71.024013] ata4: reset failed, giving up
