Got it too:
dmesg | tail
[ 5246.712561] usb 1-8: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 4
[ 5251.784588] hub 1-0:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 8
uname -a
2.6.28-15-generic #52-Ubuntu SMP Wed Sep 9 10:48:52 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Error happens, when i plug in my mp3-Player (Sandisk Sansa). Nothing happens.
But:
Card-Reader and ext. Drive (WD Book) works fine on USB.
Trying a different USB-Port dmesg gives:
[ 6393.293323] usb-storage: device found at 7
[ 6393.293329] usb-storage: waiting for device to settle before scanning
And thats it. Nothing more happens.
