Old kernel 2.6.31-14 did not work for me (was mounting as a CD ROM / USB
memory stick only)

After aptitude update / upgrade today (26 Nov 2009).

New Kernel 2.6.31-15

Works fine, all as it was before in 9.04.

device id is 12d1:1001 Huawei E620 USB Modem
