Even then DVD movies (purchased) are not recognised - error message that media is unknown. Audio cd's sometimes play. When trying to unmount, I am asked for my password - message given that another user mounted the media.

Clean Karmic installation on brand new 5810T. Eject doesn't work for me
once hardware button has been pressed until reboot / suspend. Don't want
to keep Windoze dual booting just to watch DVD's!
