This is a problem with the rtl8187 kernel module used by the RTL8187B
wireless adapter in the Toshiba Satellite L40. A bug report for this
problem has already been opened as bug 279798, so I'm going to mark this
report as a duplicate of that one.

information that you can provide, or to see if there is a workaround for
the bug. Additionally, any further discussion regarding the bug should
