Thomas, that's really useful information, but you should be filing a new
bug, not updating this one -- it is rarely useful, in a vague bug like
this, to try and reopen it. The bug you are reporting seems to be
something like

  After suspend, atheros cards sometimes fails, and reloading ath5k does
not fix it.
