[Bug 185470] Re: iwl3945 not functioning : microcode error

I got this error on Jaunty with kernel 2.6.28-13-generic. The computer
had worked flawlessly with everything from gutsy through Jaunty before.

Not all of a sudden it does not find any wireless network.

dmesg messages are:
[   31.759063] iwl3945 0000:02:00.0: firmware: requesting iwlwifi-3945-1.ucode
[   31.813429] iwl3945: iwlwifi-3945-1.ucode firmware file req failed: Reason -2
[   31.813434] iwl3945: Could not read microcode: -2

[   31.818154] iwl3945: iwlwifi-3945-1.ucode firmware file req failed: Reason -2
[   31.818159] iwl3945: Could not read microcode: -2
