Just an idea ... try tunning pdflush parameters ( ... must be root) :

echo 200 > /proc/sys/vm/dirty_writeback_centisecs
echo 400 > /proc/sys/vm/dirty_expire_centisecs

If it works, make the changes permanent by editing /etc/sysctl.conf
