Quite frankly, in this generality thats not true. It may be true for you
in your current specific environment, but not for a lot of others.

As the true nature of the bug ( or multiple bugs ) is not really
understood, allthough it most probably lies within the kernel, any
'workarounds' thus far provided (mine no exception) is wild guessing at
best.

This bug needs attention fro the kernel developers and tackled in an
organized way. Here the ubuntu developers could aid in providing the
necessary evidence, data and feedback to get this issue resolved.

So far any bugs reported to the kernel developers give the picture of
single unrelated occurances the the developers , as there is no
organized report there, pointing at the dimension of the problem.

I for my part have resigned and remain very pessimistic that this gets
resolved any time soon. For my part I have found a workaround for my
environment (put in an additional USB controller card), but as already
mentioned thats not a solution. Changing the environment will most
probably break the workaround as well.
