I've attached the dmesgs for 2.6.27-11.22, 2.6.27-11.23 and
2.6.27-11.23~apw in a tarball. One more thing I've noticed: the maximum
setting in (broken) -11.23 yields the same amount of backlight as the
minimum setting in (working) -11.22.

Also, my /proc/acpi/video/IGFX/LCD/brightness behaves like aaron's: it
reports "<not supported>" in -11.23, while it holds the correct device
properties and state in -11.22.
