Hello Phil,

I found this article, which seems pretty detailed, but unfortunately, I
am not comfortable enough to give it a try myself.  I would, along with
a LOT of other ubuntu users (I would especially think that the netbook
remix folks would be interested), very grateful if you could get a dkms
module working.
