Public bug reported:

I have a Toshiba Portege R600, I use Kubuntu 9.10 and I have the
following problem. Going into standby ("suspend to RAM") takes extremely
long (2 minutes and 9 seconds). Returning to Kubuntu out only takes a
few seconds and works consistently. This is not a reasonable time for
going in standby.

Some remarks that might be relevant (if not, just ignore them):
1) I'm not using the default harddisk, and the disk seems not recognized by the bios, forcing me to boot through grub4dos from an sd card. Maybe a 2-minute timeout for the bios trying the find the disk?
2) Hibernate is not working: the screen goes black for 10-20 seconds (with backlight still on), after which the computer is just screenlocked. This doesn't bother me though since I can only cold boot with grub4dos.
3) During the middle 2 minutes, the fan blows hard, almost like an intense computation is running.

The attached file is the result of the following commands (since I don't know the correct name):
sudo acpidump > acpidump.txt
sudo acpixtract acpidump.txt
iasl -d DSDT.dat
