I also have a shutdown/restart issue plus not being able to boot past
the winbind service and a FAIL on networking
here is the error I get for shutdown:
* Shutting down ALSA... [OK]
Checking for running unattended-upgrades: /etc/rc0.d/S10unattended-upgrades: 35: python: Permission denied
* Asking all remaining processes to terminate...
init: rc main process (2623) stopped by STOP signal
acpid: exiting
init: rc main process (2623) continued by CONT signal
That is where it hangs. Whether I restart or shutdown. I have to use the
power button to kill it.
On boot, I did get information feedback, but after this last restart...I
get nothing, the computer just hangs about 85% into the ubuntu loading
screen. I did receive feedback from selinux in tty1 and a fail on
networking and a freeze just past winbind in tty7.
If you need logs, I can't really transfer them, but I can try my best to
relay the pertinent information, just let me know what and where.
