No, I think it was reverted because of
http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20520 (mentioned on
http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12950, which is linked to by
this bug).

For me it was also a performance regression, so I also reverted to .40
and put a hold on the package.
