Well,
[ 8983.765754] cfg80211: Unknown parameter `ieee80211_regdom'

is the culprit:
The configuration parameter doesn't seem to work anymore and the module then refuses to load. I don't think it's good behaviour to not load the module. Especially if the log doesn't suggest that it doesn't load due to the configuration.
