It is interesting. I'm running the latest version of the vanilla drivers
from Realtek (rtl8187se_linux_26[1].1022.0904.2008_Release.tar.gz) on
Hardy. They compiled easily with only a few warnings, no errors.
The performance so far has been flawless. Everything works - iwconfig,
iwlist, nm-applet, the works. I also haven't had any unexpected dropouts
like in the previous version.
My question is - Why are all of the hacks and patches needed to get the
driver even working under Intrepid? And then when it is working, why are
there still bugs and crashes?
