I believe my bug is slightly different.

My system simply stall at that point until I press a button.

This got partially fix for me when I finally found a work around for
ndiswrapper.

The only time it stops now is if I reboot the system.  If I shutdown and
then start it from scratch it now works without the need to press
anything.
