Running Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release alpha-5 I still get the random lockups when running standard installation.
Current kernel: Linux troll 2.6.27-3-generic #1 SMP Wed Sep 10 16:18:52 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Unloading k8temp seems to help (stable for a 3 days now, not much, but
used to see lockups every few hours earlier).
