[Bug 290525] [NEW] Intrepid: ALSA sound does not work in Thinkpad T41

Using Intrepid with its kernel precludes sound from working in a
Thinkpad T41. Also, during shutdown, the ALSA service stop never
completes, so we need to force poweroff by Alt-SysRq-U etc. tricks.

Booting with a 8.04 kernel solves the problem, so it must be an ALSA
driver bug.
