** Summary changed:

- No onboard ethernet with Intel 82801G ICH7 LAN controller after upgrade to Intrepid
+ No onboard ethernet with VIA VT6105 LAN controller after upgrade to Intrepid

** Description changed:

Worked fine in Hardy. Neither Network Manager nor manual configuration works. After setting up manual config and restarting newtorking, the error is SIOCADDRT: No such process
  Failed to bring up eth1.
+
+ Also have Intel 82801G on the motherboard and NM will take control of it
+ and claim it's connected, but still no network. Can't even ping boxes
+ on the same network.
