i have repported this problems in Bug #294377

rootdelay=90 is ok for my computer:

fujitsu-siemens celsius 610 serverboard
motherboard is TYAN Srverboard Thunder i7505 (S2665)
fsb chipset( northbridge) intel i705
scsi adaptec 7902 dual channel
