Sorry, replying from a handheld device... the quoted part doesn't even
show here, so I don't know why it even matters.

I only stated what I did because I think the problem is related.
Installation of wicd* seems to make the problem go away... thus it is
likely doing something differently... I am sorry you don't appreciate
the additional info.

Network-Manager is already in the bug report, opening another bug report
for the same thing wouldn't make any sense.
