I get the message but it doesn't freeze anything. Hardy &

Adding 'noapic' in the GRUB startup line removes the error (as suggested
for example here:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=166212&highlight=MP-BIOS+bug)
but I don't know if it causes some other issues.
