Could everyone here who is running a Ralink card please install the
linux-backports-modules package for their kernel from the repositories,
and test with the updated driver.

For some reason, Robert Citek changed the duplicate link on this bug for
no apparent reason, and didn't leave any comment at all. In the
meantime, I'm restoring the link with the original report tracking the
confirmed issue with the Ralink driver.
