After saying how well my rt73usb device was working in Hardy, I noticed
my connection kept dropping a lot.

Mar 28 01:26:42 flash kernel: [  276.757545] phy0 -> rt2x00usb_vendor_request: Error - Vendor Request 0x06 failed for offset 0x3038 with error -110.
Mar 28 01:26:42 flash kernel: [  276.770664] ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlan0: link is not ready
Mar 28 01:26:56 flash kernel: [  291.065500] phy0 -> rt2x00usb_vendor_request: Error - Vendor Request 0x06 failed for offset 0x3020 with error -110.
Mar 28 01:26:59 flash NetworkManager: <WARN> request_and_convert_scan_results(): card took too much time scanning. Get a better one.

However, I have experimentally determined that this is only a problem
when I have my Seagate FreeAgent external USB hard disk plugged in.
Removing it caused all the problems to go away instantly.
