[Bug 203297] [NEW] [hardy] linux-image-generic doesn't boot on Lenovo N100 3000 (regression from gutsy)

Public bug reported:

1. upgrade to hardy
2. boot using -generic kernel
3. hangs very early during boot.

Feisty and Gutsy worked fine on that computer.

Sounds similar to 159312. will try acpi=off as suggested there.
