[Bug 202116] [NEW] nVidia proprietary driver broken after 2.6.24-12-386 update

The closed source driver worked flawlessly on Hardy Alpha 5 with all
desktop effects enabled and up to the most recent update.  Now they
either cannot be enabled, or do not work with my Syncmaster 216BW video
card.  I have a NV34 GeForce6600 card with 512M of RAM.   After I was
forced to start over with my alpha 5 CDs due to bug #201673, the
restricted driver no longer functions.
