Linux kernel 2.6.24 was released in january. So as it is not the devel branch (which is 2.6.25), I don't think they have changed something in there API. So it might have a problem while the package of linux-image was done by Ubuntu team.

rt2x00 driver works great know, and it whould be a share that the
version provided with hardy doesn't work at all wheras it was working
with an older alpha.
