I have a Dell D620 and I got the internal mic working. Steps and lspci
follow:

	Capabilities: [60] Message Signalled Interrupts: Mask- 64bit+ Queue=0/0 Enable-
	Capabilities: [70] Express Unknown type IRQ 0

1) Added /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base
   options snd-hda-intel model=dell-3stack

2) Reboot (I couldn't get the snd module to reload for anything)
3) Run alsamixer and:
   * Tab to [Capture]
   * Set  the 1st Capture gain to %50, 2nd Capture to 0% & Digital to %50
   * Set input source to Mic

Now my mic jack on the side of the computer doesn't work. But this set up works for me for time being.
