[Bug 239505] [NEW] config-2.6.24 incorrect

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-generic

kernel 2.6.24-12 and beyond (up to currently 2.6.24-18) do not have the
correct config-2.6.24-XX-generic in /boot. The one thing I noticed was
different was:

/boot/config-2.6.24-12-generic:# CONFIG_SND is not set
/boot/config-2.6.24-14-generic:# CONFIG_SND is not set
/boot/config-2.6.24-15-generic:# CONFIG_SND is not set
/boot/config-2.6.24-16-generic:# CONFIG_SND is not set
/boot/config-2.6.24-17-generic:# CONFIG_SND is not set
/boot/config-2.6.24-18-generic:# CONFIG_SND is not set

The actual kernel must have CONFIG_SND set because audio drivers work
fine with stock kernel.

I discovered this discepancy by copying the current kernel config to my
custom kernel sources, and running make oldconfig, building the kernel,
booting the kernel to find sound not working.
