I have the same bug on my Sony Vaio VGN-FE48E with Hardy Heron, kernel
2.6.24-17-generic. It happens sometimes, I just have to turn my computer
off the hard way and turn in back on. I' m not able to compile a kernel
so I can't help you to test the patch...
