I've bought two laptops, and get this issue in Hardy Heron (AMD64) on
both of them.  They both have the following spec's

4GB, DDR2, 667MHz 2 Dimm
256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT
250G 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive 
Dell Wireless 5720 EV-DO Revision A Mobile Broadband Built-In Mini-Card
Dell Wirless 355 Bluetooth Module (2.0+EDR)
Dell Wireless 1395 802.11g Mini Card 

The only difference between the two are the processors:
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T8300 (2.4GHz/800MHzFSB, 3M L2 Cache) 
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T9300 (2.5GHz/800MHzFSB, 6M L2 Cache) 

It's a nightmare...
